As part of Artist in Residence in Doha fire station, designed a Interactive audio visual installation.
"The Sea and The Land "
The Sea and The Land is an immersive and interactive art installation that merges the mediums of sound and sensors to create a multisensory experience. In this ethereal exploration, I aim to redefine the boundaries of perception by transforming the intangible realm of sound into a tangible and visual form.
Drawing inspiration from the interconnectedness of our senses and the power of synesthesia, The Sea and The Land invites participants to embark on a captivating journey of soundscapes and visualizations. The installation incorporates an array of strategically placed sensors that respond to sound frequencies and amplitudes, translating them into mesmerizing visual displays. These displays manifest as vibrant and dynamic patterns, textures, and colors that dance and morph in sync with the sounds they represent.
By bridging the auditory and visual realms, The Sea and The Land challenges our preconceived notions of how we experience and understand the world around us. The installation serves as a conduit for deepening our appreciation of the beauty and complexity inherent in both sound and vision. Through this amalgamation of senses, participants are encouraged to engage in a meditative and introspective state, enabling them to explore the profound relationship between the abstract nature of sound and the tangible nature of visual form.
The Sea and The Land embraces the potential of technology as a creative tool, utilizing sensors and audiovisual software to transform sound waves into a visible language. The installation invites participants to actively participate in the artwork by their reflection and witnessing the immediate visual responses.
In essence, The Sea and The Land is an invitation to transcend the limitations of our sensory experiences, blurring the boundaries between sight and sound. It encourages participants to engage with the artwork on a deeper level, fostering a sense of wonder, curiosity, and introspection. Through this transformative exploration, The Sea and The Land offers a unique and immersive experience that amplifies our perception and appreciation of the harmonious relationship between sound and visual form.
